Stepper motors shall be stored in a clean and ventilated warehouse with ambient temperature ranging from -40℃ to +50℃ and relative humidity ≤95%. The ambient air must be free of corrosive gas.Handle with care during transportation to prevent collision and impact. Exposure to corrosive substances such as acids and alkalis is strictly prohibited. Prevent foreign matter from entering the motor interior to guarantee normal operation.
Most cutting fluids and lubricants feature strong permeability. Long-term contact with these liquids may shorten the motor service life or cause abnormal operation. Therefore, the motor must not be immersed in liquid substances and shall avoid direct contact with liquids. Liquid ingress and accumulated condensate will trigger motor failure.
During installation, arrange the motor connector side facing downward or horizontally. If the motor connector is oriented horizontally, route cables to form a downward drip loop before connecting to the connector. Take corresponding protective measures if the connector cannot avoid facing upward.
Route signal wires, motor cables and power cables in accordance with interface specifications.Large current flows through motor cables and power cables. All plugs must be fully inserted to minimize contact resistance; loose contact may cause overheating and burnout of terminals.
When connecting motor cables, ensure no short circuit exists between phases. The insulation of motor windings must meet specifications. Do not reverse the like terminals of three-phase windings. Reversed like terminals easily lead to step loss of the stepper motor.
For power supply connection, it is recommended to power the equipment (drivers and motors) via an isolation transformer. This offers protection against electric leakage of the motor (such as leakage between windings and motor housing).
Acceptable power switches include air circuit breakers and residual current circuit breakers for fast and reliable protection. General knife switches are not allowed, as poor contact during switching may introduce interference to the driver and cause misoperation.
Wiring sequence: Connect the switch to the "AC220V Input Terminal" of the power supply unit, then connect to the "AC220V Output Terminal". The protective earth wire shall be connected to the "FG" terminal of the power supply unit.
